An update in RERA’s annual rental index indicates that rents have increased in several key localities in Dubai, some having rents go up by as much as 20%.
As a result, many tenants are unable to keep pace with the increasing rent rates. Some are also considering a mortgage. If you’re in the same boat and generally finding it difficult to cope with the increasing rent rates, know that there are still apartments and villas for rent in Dubai that offer a lot of value for money and can easily fall within your annual rent budget.
In no particular order, here are some of Dubai’s most economical accommodations available for rent.
Dubai Discovery Gardens
If you happen to be working in or close to Jebel Ali, you should check out Discovery Gardens, which are considered the third-most affordable Dubai rent apartments. Studio units can be had for an annual 55,000 AED while singe-unit apartments demand 74,000 AED annually.
Two-bedroom units are also available for 1,10,000 AED annually while three-bedroom units cost 1,18,000 per year.
Dubai Silicon Oasis
Located within close proximity of International City, DSO offers studio apartments available for rent at an average 67,000 AED per year. A two-bedroom apartment sets you back by 88,000 AED while a three-bedroom unit goes for 1,40,000 AED annually.
However, according to recent real estate reports, landlords are willing to selectively offer their single-unit apartments at a highly economical 45,000 AED annually.
International City tops the list as one of the most economical places to rent in Dubai today – studio apartments are available between 42,000 and 58,000 AED per year. Two-bedroom apartments are currently going for 78,000 AED on average while three-bedroom ones are available for 100,000 AED.

Moving on to roomier (and slightly less economical) options, Jumeriah Village offers the lowest rent rates among villas for rent in Dubai.
The smallest three-bedroom offering is going for 1,70,000 per year while four-bedroom villas can set you back by 1,80,000 AED.
